Kapadokya Avanos'ta bulunan saç müzesi, normalde çömlekçi olan çömlek ustası Galip Körükçü'nün dükkanını ( Chez Galip Çömlek Atölyesi ) ziyaret eden kadınların bir tutam saçlarını bırakmalarıyla başlamış. Müze, 1979 yılından bu yana 16 bini aşkın kadın saçı tutamını barındırıyor. 1998 yılında Guinness Rekorlar Kitabı’na giren müze, Avanos'a gelenlerin uğramadan geçmedikleri bir nokta olmuş ve dünyanın en ilginç 15 müzesi listesinde de 6.sırada yer almış.
