Gümüşlük beldesinin 200 metre açığında bulunan ve Gümüşlük Koyu'nun çevrelediği Tavşan Adası, bölgenin tarihine ışık tutan kalıntılarıyla, tavşanlarıyla ve eşsiz gün batımı manzarasıyla Bodrum'un görülmesi gereken yerleri arasında. 3.500 yıllık tarihi ile Myndos Antik Kenti'nden günümüze kalan 150 metre uzunluğu, 1.5 metre genişliğindeki Kral Yolu'ndan, sığ ve diz hizasındaki denizin içinden yürüyerek adaya ulaşılıyor. Açık denize bakan tarafı derin ve kayalıklıdır.
